I am looking for some ideas on how to store bags under the box. Does anyone have ideas they would like to share?

I had a customer ask me for this exact thing. I took a mesh beach bag I found on eBay for $1.99, cut the seams open, cut the mesh into a rectangle, and attached it using little 1/4" screws so it formed a little pouch. Worked great, cost me like $5.

I use 1" wide velcro strips and a staple gun. Got the idea for somewhere on this forum I think.

I really like the way that BagToss.com builds bag holders into the legs of their boards. I didn't get a great pic, but here's one that kinda shows what they did.

That's pretty cool. Looks like they included a little pamphlet on the rules of Cornhole, too. Very neat!

Those are great ideas and would love to use them but...we've got field mice that get into our garage. Initally I too stored our bags in a mesh laundry bag but the mice soon found them and made a meal of them...so after setting traps and ordering more bags I was determined to find an alternative. Currently (while still searching for that alternative)...we have them in a small plastic cooler. Not good for letting dewey bags breathe, and if not careful it can create mold. So...until we find a better solution we have to dry out our bags before storing them for long periods of time. :D Any other (mice friendly) solutions would be greatly appreciated! - Utah cornholer - Denise

I am going with hinge and door method for bag storage...the only think that I dont like is the added weight to each board. Using a complete door/droor would definately keep the rodents from making a meal out of your bags!

How about a set of weatherproof / critter proof resin filled bags from www.napervillebags.com?

This is what I've done on several sets. I take a 4ft piano hinge, cut it into 3 pieces, & a 2 pack tension lock I found at Menards. It works well for what I want. it does add some weight, but most of that is the 8lbs from the bags.

:D
I really like Jeremy's/Bag Toss's idea of storing the bags in the legs. It looks great. I am planning to have 1x4 legs on mine with the crossing support board so adding two additional boards shouldn't be too hard. I look forward to giving it a try and I will post my results. Thanks for the great idea!

Here's how I store them. Just have to be cognizant of how you store the boards long term. If the weight of the bags are on the door it will bow. Other than that works great (and it's super simple).
Sincerely, Dave.
