#7, and I'll tell you why.
First of all, the design style is completely original. No borders, or ring around the hole. The faded out color spattered pattern around the guitar. All very unique.
What really sets this apart from others is two things. First is the level of detail on the guitar. Each string, the nut, the pick guard, the bridge, the position markers...It all looks so perfect. That takes real skill.
Second is the way the nattural wood was used with the paint. On this site, you don't see this being done. Sure, we've seen lots of the stained middles with the painted borders, but to actually work the plain wood look into your design, that's genius.
At first glance, the average person might say "What's so impressive about that?" When you stop to study these boards, they are just super ultra impressive. Kudos to the builder. Hands down, my favorite set of all of 2009.

Those are the boards that made me want to do a stained set (my next project.)

My vote is for 16.
My original inclination was to choose 18 because they are just sharp clean looking boards. While reviewing the boards a second time it clicked in that 16 was all handpainted, no decals. I have nothing against using decals but when you can make boards look that good by hand painting, well that to me is impressive.

#17 - I like the combination of colors, the stripes as well as the logos. It all works well together. Maybe there should be two classes, 1 for "classic" box style boards (#4) and 1 for folding leg designs? Hey, it's worth a try! All of the sets submitted are very sharp, great work everyone!

Voting for #7
I respect the custom hand painted designs. The extra work, time and talent that it takes.
No disrespect to the others because I do a little of both depending the demand at the time and ease of completing.
I can also tell that the Raiders ones were hand painted but I like the guitar design.

VOTING FOR #7
Some hand painting looks so good its hard to believe. My hats off to those that can. I'll paint stripes & circle borders but thats the best of my artistic ability at this point.
