Pretty darn cool!

I made the paper this morning! The online version of the article doesn't do it justice. The article ran on the fronT page of the business section, the picture took up 1/3 of the page, and it was the featured story. Pretty darn cool. Notice that the online version plugged this website but didn't even mention my own? You owe me, Jeremy! Anyway, my phone and email have been blazing hot after my friends and family saw the paper this morning. It's been very cool. Here's the link.

It's a few stories down, titled, "It's all fun and games".

Did ya'll read the comment on the story at the web site?

"Internet Guardians wrote on Jun 4, 2009 3:05 PM:

" As long as these tournaments don't require entry fees for the prize money, I guess they are legal. And if you have a side business like this, always remember to report the income to the IRS. Otherwise you could get in really big trouble. Otherwise, great story! When and where is the next tournament and what are the entry fees? And what do I get if I win? ""

Ummmmm......yeah. LOL Some people are just stupid. First they state "...don't require entry fees, I guess they are legal." Then goes on to ask "what are the entry fees?"

wow....just......wow

This guy is an internet stalker I have acquired. He will do anything to try to get a rise out of me. I could care less. My article got across to thousands today, and my sales are through the roof. Yippee!

Oh hey, I'm not trying to be a buzz kill, I just found it hilarious that this dude questioned the legality of entry fees then asked what the fees were in the same post.

And I'm thrilled for you about your sales buddy, remember us little people when you're showing up on the Forbes 500 list.

Bill, I certainly didn't mean to come off rude to you. I know you were just pointing out what was posted. I was just trying to explain it. Sorry if I came off like a jerk. Yeah, as if hosting a tourney is illegal. I acutally checked with the State of PA before, and there are some gray areas that could have gotten me in trouble. I follow every rule they have though, so I'm cool as a fan, and will never be getting into any trouble by hosting a tourney. Also, I have my federal and state tax ID number, and will pay my taxes if I hit the range of income that requires me too. I charge taxes for all my sales (built into my priceing), so I'm good there, too. 100% legit. This stalker clown can suck it! Thanks for the compliments, too!

And to think that someday I'll be able to say to my grandkids, "Yes little ones, I actually knew him back when he was asking questions on how to build and paint boards."

Wait they may be big ones by then since they are little ones now.

You guys are crazy! :D I'm just a regular guy trying to have some fun and make a little money along the way. There are some REAL builders on this site that put me to shame! I do appreciate the compliments and the candor, though. Thanks!
